Telescopic Hydraulic Cylinders
PWM Telescopic Cylinders are engineered to deliver exceptionally long stroke lengths from highly compact retracted dimensions, making them ideal for equipment where space optimization is critical. With decades of engineering expertise, PWM designs and manufactures single-acting, single/double-acting hybrid, and double-acting telescopic cylinders, tailored to meet the performance, dimensional, and environmental demands of OEM applications across industries such as construction, mining, oil and gas, waste management, and transportation.

- Single-Acting Telescopic Cylinders
- The simplest and most widely used configuration.
- Hydraulic pressure extends the cylinder stages, while external forces (typically gravity or load weight) provide retraction once pressure is released.
- Commonly used in dump trucks, lifting equipment, and other applications where gravity return is feasible.
- Single/Double-Acting Combination Cylinders
- Hybrid design where one or more of the smaller stages are configured as double-acting.
- Hydraulic force extends the cylinder, while double-acting stages enable controlled retraction for part of the stroke before gravity assumes the return.
- A typical application is mast-raising systems on drilling rigs, where hydraulic force is required to pull the mast over center before gravity completes retraction.
- Double-Acting Telescopic Cylinders
- Hydraulic pressure is applied for both extension and retraction, eliminating reliance on gravity.
- Requires complex internal sealing systems to separate pressure zones between multiple stages.
- Internal passageways are precision-machined into the cylinder components to control fluid flow and ensure proper stage sequencing.
- Ideal for applications where controlled retraction is required, such as underground mining machinery, industrial presses, and specialized mobile equipment.
